OOPEAA wins Spotlight Prize 2017

Puukuokka One, Suvela Chapel and Periscope Tower by OOPEAA nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Award 2017 We are happy to announce that three buildings designed by OOPEAA have been nominated amongst the projects for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award 2017. PUUKUOKKA WINS THE WOOD PRIZE 2015

The Puukuokka Housing Block designed by Anssi Lassila / OOPEAA has been selected winner of the Wood Prize  2015. The Wood Prize is awarded annually as a sign of recognition to a building, interior or structure that represents Finnish wood architecture of the highest quality or in which wood has been applied in a way that advances research and development in construction techniques in a significant way. The prize was given out for the first time in 1994 and it is now awarded for the 18th time. The prize is awarded by the Wood Information Center Finland.

Anssi Lassila, OOPEAA receives the Resident Act of the Year award for Puukuokka

Puukuokka by OOPEAA awarded Finlandia Prize for Architecture 2015

Lakeside Periscope Tower / SD Review 2015

OOPEAA’s Periscope Tower is one of the winners of the Japanese award SD Review 2015. The Periscope Tower project will be exhibited together with the other winners in Tokyo and Kyoto. The design for a new viewing tower, the Periscope Tower, to be built on the Lake Kyrkösjärvi in Seinäjoki, Finland has recently been completed. The tower is part of a larger landscape design project for reshaping the lake shore, developed by OOPEAA for the Seinäjoki Housing Fair 2016.
